Nestled across 1,400 acres in the rolling hills of Owenton, Kentucky, Randolph Farm is more than just a place where we raise livestock—it is a thriving ecosystem built on a deep respect for nature. Our journey is rooted in an unwavering commitment to regenerative agriculture, driven by the belief that true quality begins from the ground up. By focusing intently on soil health and cultivating biodiverse pastures of warm- and cool-season grasses, we work in harmony with the land rather than against it. This deep-rooted philosophy, captured in our promise of Better Grass, Better Meat™, guides our holistic approach to animal welfare.
Our cattle—carefully developed from prestigious Angus bloodlines including Octoraro, Wye, Pathfinder, and Gardiner—are raised using low-stress handling and sustainable grazing techniques to ensure exceptional marbling and flavor. Sharing these open pastures are our free-roaming laying hens, which forage naturally to produce nutrient-dense eggs with deep, golden yolks.
By giving every animal the freedom to live and grow naturally, supported by free-choice access to vital minerals, kelp, and protein, we maintain optimal health without the need for unnecessary antibiotics or interventions. Meet Your Farmer
Carter Randolph
Carter started regenerative farming in 1988 at the Greenacres Foundation in Cincinnati, Ohio (green-acres.org). He oversaw the operation for 34 years and has since retired. In October of 2020 he purchased the Randolph Farm to continue his passion for regenerative farming by raising Black Angus cattle. Carter was invited to be a member of the Farm Foundation (farmfoundation.org) to share his experience and commitment to holistic farming.
